SAME SAME
She wants you to match her. Tap the other foot.
FROM THE SCHOOL YARDS OF GHANA
Ampe is the clap-and-jump game every Ghanaian child knows. Ampe Rush turns it into an endless reaction game: one glance at her head sign, one glance at her kick, one tap. Then faster. Then faster small small.
Tap a foot to start. She kicks, you read.
= SAME SAME → tap the other foot · ≠ NOT SAME → copy her foot
HOW TO PLAY
Her head sign says what she wants. Her kick shows which foot. Your job is to make sure she doesn’t get it.
She wants you to match her. Tap the other foot.
She wants you to miss. Copy her foot.
Every challenger claps to the beat before she shows her leg. Feel the rhythm and you’re already halfway there.
Her leg only counts inside the white kick zone. Tap too early and she switches on you. Fake kicks come later, so stay sharp.
Clean reads stack your multiplier. Three hearts, five stages, and a champion waiting at the end of each one.
The beat climbs from 96 to 128 BPM as you go. Every stage has its own sky, its own crowd and its own champion.
ADINKRA ARTEFACTS
Beat a challenger who carries one and it’s yours. Collect all six in your album, then upgrade them with cowries so they last longer.
Go back and fetch it
Your lost combo comes back.
Patience
One heart back.
Endurance
Challengers slow down.
Adaptability
Fake kicks show up as ghosts.
Unity
Double cowries.
Supremacy of God
Mistakes don’t count.
One wrong tap, forgiven. Your first shield shows up early, so you feel it before you need it.
Won off every challenger you beat, counted into your vault. Spend them on shields, artefacts, outfits and upgrades.
PLAY IN YOUR LANGUAGE
The = and ≠ symbols stay on every sign, in every language. Payments and legal text stay in English.
WHAT IS AMPE?
Two players clap, jump and throw out a foot on the same beat. One leads; the other has to read her in a heartbeat. It’s played in school yards and compounds all over Ghana, mostly by girls, and by everybody eventually.
Ampe Rush keeps the clap, the beat and the call, and turns them into a speed test you can carry in your pocket. The music is synthesised live inside the game, the art is drawn in code, and every challenger dances to the beat.
Send your score card to WhatsApp or anywhere you like. When a friend passes your best, the game lets you know.
Every ranked run is replayed on our server, tap by tap, with the same rules the game uses. If it doesn’t replay to the same score, it doesn’t rank.
One shared run a day, the same for everybody. Daily goals, and a streak that rewards coming back tomorrow.
